Fewer tax forms and instructions at libraries causes frustration for taxpayers

The article, “Fewer tax forms and instructions at libraries causes frustration for taxpayers” was written in Oregon last year, but it’s still relevant. You can read the article here.

We just received 1040A instructions and forms, but we don’t have any NY State forms yet. We put them out as soon as we receive them, but be aware that they send us fewer forms each year. We’re very sorry for this inconvenience.

You can find Federal tax forms here. And NY tax forms here.

Paper cutting craft at the library

Scherenschnitte is the art of paper cutting design, like silhouettes and valentines. We’ll hold a workshop for making Scherenschnitte on Monday, January 25th from 10:00 – noon in the Community Room of the Goff-Nelson Memorial Library. We plan to make Valentine’s Day cards, so please bring your best paper-cutting scissors. The workshop is free and will be led by Patty Francisco. Please register in the library or by calling the library at 359-9421.
