The Tupper Lake Public Library turns 100!

“The Goff-Nelson Memorial Library in Tupper Lake was started by a group of women who sponsored a ‘book shower’ about 1914. Through a house-to-house canvass, they managed to collect 101 volumes” (Mostly Spruce and Hemlock).

You are cordially invited to the Centennial celebration of the Goff-Nelson Memorial Library, Wednesday, August 20, 2014. Open House: 4:00-6:00 pm with light refreshments; 41 Lake Street, Tupper Lake, NY 12986. Please plan to join us for this celebration of our library!

  1. Happy celebration! Years and years ago, I met a very kind pretty lady
When I was a little frightened young girl. She took me to her house to
spend the night safely in her home. Sue La Plant Savard You were my angel and after all of these years, I have never forgotten your kindness! Bless you! Diane Meacham Preas, Danville California .
Enjoyed reading Autumn Leaves, glad you have had a beautiful life.
